The most talked about and sought after young gospel sensation, Nonhle Mtsetfwa may look shy and reserved at first but the moment she takes on the stage she erupts like a time bomb.

The seven-year-old grade two pupil at Manzini Nazarene Befort Primary School has captivated the gospel industry with her impeccable and strong voice. She is certainly a dynamite in a small package. At first glance and when speaking to her you can never be convinced she owns that voice.

Nonhle is the daughter of renowned gospel artist, Amazing Mtsetfwa and keyboard player, Mabandla Mtsetfwa. She is the eldest of a duo as her two year old sister recently joined her in dance when she performed at the SPTC Charity Cup Roadshow.

"I adore my little sister to bits. She is my weakness and I can’t imagine life without her and hope she can follow in my footsteps someday," she affectionately says.

Her father describes her as a very respectful and disciplined girl. She is a prefect at her school and her teachers have nothing but the best to say about her. She is also among the top five best pupils in her class.

"I love school; it is my life and the most important part of arming yourself with knowledge. My teachers teach me well and I always look forward to going to school at all times. My friends were so excited they saw me on the newspapers and it brought so much joy to me," she says.

When asked about her singing career she stresses that she owes her singing passion to the environment she grew up in,

"I started singing at the age of three. I would sing along with my mother then. My love for singing was harnessed by the fact that my household was fundamentally that of singers. It was in my blood," she states.

She says she would go as far as South Africa with her mother and the reception there was amazing,

"While I sang along with my mother, the audience demanded that I sing alone and as nervous as I was then, I pulled it off. The first song I’ve ever sang was ‘Ligama lakho Jesu’," she highlights.

She has performed at the MVA Road safety Road show alongside the frontrunner in the gospel fraternity in Swaziland, Mduduzi neZinceku zaMagawugawu; the SPTC Charity Cup roadshow; the MTN Road show and the recent Phiwokwakhe CD launch that was held at Mavuso Trade and Exhibition Centre.

She already has an album to her name titled ‘I am a Winner,’

"My pride and Joy, my album was released a month ago. It was recorded at Dem-dem studios and produced by Muzi Masina. After my numerous appearances, my audience would demand that I record an album, so I eventually gave in," she smiles.

The album is in the form of a CD and DVD which comprises of the young sensation’s hit songs such as, ‘Ngiphila ngelizwi, Halala ngoJesu’, ‘No more turning back’ and the sensational, ‘I am the winner’.

"I want every one to know that I am a born again Christian and sincerely love the Lord for blessing me with a great family and people who simply adore me," she highlights.

Mtsetfwa’s album is available at all Lucky save stores, Mgavuza Records and Christian Media Centre in Manzini and Nhlangano.

"My parents are currently working on getting me a South African distribution company so I can distribute my album in South Africa as the demand for my offering is high there as well. It actually all began in South Africa," she says.

This toddler is very busy as she has to perform at gigs every weekend,

"This past weekend alone, I had to perform at a fundraising dinner at the Kwaluseni Primary School, Jesus for the World in Luyengo and at the Convention Centre. The lord is certainly blessing me," she asserts.

Her father, Mabandla Mtsetfwa says at the rate his daughter is going he sees a very bright future for her. "In a year she would have a gold or platinum disk. Within two years with the Lord’s help she will be a millionaire," he confidently highlights.

Mtsetfwa speaks highly of school and highlights the importance of school to her peers,

"I would like to urge my peers to stay in school and faithfully attend Sunday school as it is of utmost importance for one to have a strong foundation. I would also recommend paying one’s tithes as it sure opens a lot of doors," she states

Anyone who would like to book this young star can call her manager on 7628 5235 or her father on 7628 3314.
