Amadodana Aku-Matsapha release debut album

The 14-member group has successfully released the 12-track album which will soon be accessed in different music outlets in the country.

Public Relations Officer of the group, Ronnie Dlamini, said group members originate from Matsapha and are from the Kwaluseni Methodist Church, situated opposite Gwamile Voctim.

"The album is a success story of a fund-raising event held at the church where a goat was up for grabs. We were able to secure enough money through that event to release the album," he said.

The album is made up of songs like ‘Hlala Nami’, ‘UJesu Ulithemba’, ‘Bongani uThixo’, ‘Themba Limbi’, Igama lakho’ and ‘Loo-nto Ayithiyileyo’.

Other songs are ‘Vukani Maxi-longo’, ‘Lizalis’ Idinga Lakho’, ‘Yahlala Imfama’, ‘Sebenzani Ngenyameko’ and ‘Amen’.

The album, according to Dlamini, is dedicated to Reverend Mthetho Benyane from the Methodist Church, who contributed immensely towards the success of the project.

"The fact that he will be leaving the country soon was another reason for the group to dedicate this album to him, for the unlimited support he has given to the album. We also extend further gratitude to our families, the Matsapha section as well as the central Swaziland circuit," he said.
