cop transferred twice in two weeks
MBABANE – A junior police officer has been transferred twice in a space of two weeks.
Bongiswa Nhlabatsi, the erstwhile Royal Leopards’ enigmatic midfielder, yesterday said, at first, he was moved from Nhlangano to Sidvokodvo Police Station.
"The second transfer says I’m being transferred from Nhlangano to Mankayane Police Station," Nhlabatsi reluctantly said.
mystery
He said it was still a mystery why he was not directly moved to Mankayane as largely opposed to making a stop-over at Sidvokodvo.
Nhlabatsi, who rose to stardom while doing duty for Mbabane Swallows after he was recruited from Midas Mbabane City, hoped that his superiors would realise and correct what he viewed as a prevailing anomaly regarding his second transfer.
Nevertheless, he said he was more than willing to abide by the oath which he took when he joined the police service over three years ago.
Other junior officers punched holes at the transfers, saying they were partly meant to frustrate some of them.
destroyed
"Our furniture gets destroyed as a result of the unending transfers," said one junior officer who, however, preferred anonymity.
At least 12 officers have been transferred from Pigg’s Peak Police Station.
Inspector Stephen Dlamini, the Assistant Police PRO, described Nhlabatsi’s transfer as normal, saying there was absolutely nothing sinister.
