Sibebe Lager donates E75 000 to Rotary Club
MATSAPHA – Sibebe Premium Lager donated E75 000 to the Mbabane Mbuluzi Rotary Club, part of which will be used during the Sibebe Survivor social event on Sunday.
Presenting the cheque, Meshack Maseko who is the Beer Trade Marketing Manager, said it may be a first, but definitely not last for Sibebe Premium Lager to donate towards the Sibebe Survivor event.
"We are determined to make this year’s Sibebe Survivor a resounding success and we are proud to be associated with the Mbabane Mbuluzi Rotary Club who are one of the organisers of the event," Maseko said. He said he was confident that this year’s Sibebe Survivor would be a bigger and better event.
Sibebe is originally a heritage rock situated near Mbuluzi, about 10 kilometres from Mbabane. Every year people are invited to walk or run up one of the world’s largest granite monoliths as a social event.
The Chairperson of the Mbabane Mbuluzi Rotary Club, Cynthia Dlamini was grateful to Sibebe Premium Lager for the donation, saying some of the proceeds would be used in the various projects pursued by the Rotary Club.
She said these include providing boreholes, wheelchairs, bursaries, toilets and school uniform. She said this year’s theme for the Sibebe Survivor would be "Peace Through Service".
The chairperson said this year would be the ninth time the Sibebe Survivor event was held.
