Sikhatsi's wife forced to drink Jeyes Fluid
MBABANE - Businessman Sikhatsi Dlamini’s wife was admitted to the Mbabane Government Hospital after she was forced to drink a poisonous fluid.
Dlamini is a well known sports official and a former councillor of the Mbabane Municipal. His wife Eunice Nhlengetfwa, was attacked and forced to drink the fluid by three men while she was in her office at the Mbabane Commercial Centre on Tuesday.
Eunice’s attackers are said to have forced her to drink Jeyes Fluid in an attempt to kill her. Jeyes Fluid is a cleaning detergent mostly used to kill germs, especially in toilets. It is also known as Shibhoshi.
An impeccable source disclosed that during the attack, Dlamini’s wife tried to scream for help, but the men managed to overcome her.
The source also disclosed that Nhlengetfwa was in her office doing her normal duties when two unsuspecting men entered.
"It was while the two were forcing her to drink the fluid that another man entered and assisted them. Their intention was to kill, but we thank God that she is recovering at the hospital," said the source who preferred anonymity.
Reached for comment yesterday Dlamini insisted that he was not in a position to comment.
"I am not in a position to comment. You can rely on the information you will obtain from the police," he politely said.
Police Public Relations Officer, Superintendent Wendy Hleta confirmed the matter. She said the woman was attacked while she was in her office and police are currently intensifying their investigations.
"The woman was attacked by three men who are said to have forced her to drink Jeyes Fluid.
"We are still investigating the matter," she said.
The PRO said the woman is reported to be in a stable condition at the Mbabane Government Hospital where she is presently admitted.
This is not the first time for Dlamini’s wife to be attacked by unknown people and the motive behind all the attacks could not be ascertained. Hleta said investigations are, however, still ongoing.
