MBABANE – Corban Build Hardware has been taken to court by South African company, Sheerline Aluminum Systems, demanding payment of E162 000 in respect of goods supplied on credit and border taxes.

In combined summons outlining allegations whose veracity is yet to be determined by the court, it has been alleged that Cotta Investments (Pty) Ltd trading as Corban Build Hardware executed and transmitted an application for credit with Xline Aluminium Solutions (Pty) Ltd which trades as Sheerline Aluminium Systems on September 9, 2016.

The hardware, based in Manzini along Mahleka Street opposite Dairy Board Building, was allegedly represented by Thembinkosi and Lindokuhle Nkonyane as directors.

It was claimed that on or about September 12, 2016, Sheerline Aluminium Systems, represented by Barbara Fortuin accepted the application for credit, processed and commenced to supply goods to Corban Build Hardware on credit and in accordance with the terms of the application for credit.

It was mentioned that the hardware shop had two accounts which were both subject to Sheerline Aluminium Systems terms and conditions.

It was explained that the material terms of the agreement included that the SA Company would from time to time, at the instance and request of Corban Build Hardware, sell and deliver goods to the hardware.

It was also stated that the hardware would pay for goods sold to them as reflected in tax invoices within 30 days from the end of the month in which the tax invoice was issued.
