SITEKI – Property mogul Moses Motsa had everyone in stitches when he made a short prayer before the start of an auction.

The businessman, who is also a former football administrator and Siteki Mayor, frequently attends public auctions, especially when the auctioned items are vehicles.
In yesterday’s auction conducted at the Central Transport Administration (CTA) Depot in Siteki, the auctioneer Christopher Gamedze, had asked the bidders to open the auction with a word of prayer.

However, no one seemed willing to pray and the businessman, who was standing in the front row, offered to pray. “Lord can you be with us during the auction and help us so that the vehicles are not sold at high prices,” Motsa prayed, sending other bidders into stitches. While praying, the businessman did not close his eyes, something which also made other bidders laugh. His prayer also lasted for few seconds.

Meanwhile, during the auction Motsa outbid others and bought a white Toyota Quantum for E72 000. This was the only vehicle Motsa bought, something which brought huge relief to other bidders who feared that the businessman would bid for other vehicles. On another note, armed police were deployed to the CTA Depot to ensure that the auction proceeded well without any disturbances. According to some employees at the depot, police officers were also deployed at the depot on Monday to guard the vehicles that had been earmarked to be sold.
