ECLIPSE WINS E4.2M DUMPSITE TENDER
MBABANE – A cut above the rest! This best describes Eclipse Environmental Solutions which surpassed all contenders to emerge as winner of the operation and maintenance of the Manzini controlled dumpsite.
The company won the tender valued at E4.2 million with an impressive 95.5 per cent total evaluation score.
In tender results issued by the Eswatini Public Procurement (ESPPRA), the municipality explained that the company was the most competitive among all three tenderers who were vying for the multimillion tender.
The competitors in the tender were Ecco Buzz Investments which was evaluated to be number two with a total score of 82 per cent.
Meanwhile, MK-SHEQ Consulting became the lowest evaluated prospective tenderers with an evaluation score of 58.9 per cent.
Ecco Buzz had priced their bid at E6.9 million while MK-SHEQ had their own at E7.7 million.
Award
In the intention to award document, it was announced that a period of 10 working days would be allowed for the submission of any application for review by the tenderers.
“The contract award decision does not constitute a contract,” reads the notice in part.
It should be mentioned that Eclipse, which is also involved in the catering industry, was not new to executing multimillion tasks.
The company was awarded a tender along with four catering companies which also proved their competitive edge by outsmarting nine other bidders to emerge as best evaluated tenderers to share E19 million.

Principal Secretary (PS) in the Ministry of Health Dr Simon Zwane announced that Eclipse Investments, Time Caterers, Sanqoti Investments and Geossant Investments were granted the tender for supply and delivery of catering services at government hospitals and health centres during the 2017/18 financial year.
A summary of the intention to award notices reflected that all four companies will share the tender worth E19 144 748.63. Eclipse Investments stood to pocket the largest share of the pie at E6 408 642.24.
