DEADLINE FOR COVID-19 TENDER
MBABANE – Companies have until today at 4pm to show interest in supplying government with COVID-19 case management commodities.
Government through the National Disaster Management Agency (NDMA) intends to engage all suppliers who will be willing to and have the capacity and experience to supply COVID-19 protective personal equipment (PPE), mobile toilets and disinfection services, among others.
These will be used in the managing of COVID-19 cases and assisting in the fight against the global pandemic.
A current and valid relevant trading licence, tax clearance certificate, Form J, Form C and VAT registration certificate are among the requirements for eligibility.
“The potential suppliers must submit their expressions of interest together with the eligibility documents through e-mail to procurement@ndma.org.sz not later than today at 4pm.
“Suppliers must specify the category in which they are interested to assist in.
“Late submissions of the expression of interest will not be considered,” reads a correspondence from government in part.
Cleared
Government, in the correspondence, stressed on the need for the would-be suppliers to demonstrate that they were cleared in all levels following some trade restrictions enforced by government on international trade.
South Africa’s COVID-19 Export Control Regulations provide for all exporters in that country to apply for an export permit through their ministry of trade. This restricts the free flow of COVID-19 commodities to other countries.
“The NDMA is aware that there a number of suppliers locally and globally who have presented themselves as having the capacity to supply these essential commodities,” further reads the correspondence.
