MBABANE – Companies with employees working from home should worry less about cost of data.

MTN Eswatini has lined up exciting promotions for customers from the first quarter of the New Year. This follows the launch of the ‘Do the Most’ campaign which was virtually introduced to the media yesterday.  Mncedzi Ngomane, who is MTN Chief Marketing Officer, stressed on the need to help customers get through the difficult period.

The innovations are headlined by a landmark partnership between MTN Eswatini and Eswatini TV. The partnership has given birth to an application (App) that can be downloaded on smart phones to watch live television.  This was announced by MTN’s Rich Media Services Coordinator Pascal Lima. One will need to subscribe for as little as E20 .The full launch of the App is expected before the end of the month, plans and the finer details will be made available.

On top of that, there are prizes in store for customers using MTN data to download selected Apps, with tailor-made prizes for each user.

Customers will further ‘do the most’ on MTN Mobile Money (MoMo). On top of the increase of the maximum quick loan from E200 to E300, it is bonuses galore on airtime purchases. Those buying airtime of between E10 and E89 using MoMo can get a bonus that lasts for a day.  For airtime purchases of between E90 and E2 000 there is even a greater discount (50 per cent) lasting for a week.

Savings and cooperatives societies, on the other hand, are now guaranteed safety of their money, thanks to the ‘Stokvel’ MoMo Collection Account. To register for this, a constitution and minutes will be needed to ensure they are regulated by the Financial Services Regulatory Authority (FSRA).

Safety, it was stressed, was guaranteed as there was a trail of transactions. Those working at home should worry not following affordable data packages. This package is styled the MTN Home Office. There are affordable data packages ranging from 20 to 100 gigabyte (GB) and come in handy for bloggers and entertainers who were ‘relegated’ to online performances by the partial lockdown. For only E899, one can get access to uncapped 100GB.

Ngomane stressed on the need to do the most in the new normal, saying the company was further looking into ways of helping learners learn through other platforms following the extended school holidays enforced by the pandemic.

A full breakdown of the products will be known during a launch today at noon.  One can live stream the launch on the Eswatini MTN Facebook Page.
