DATAMATICS FOR E2.5M FILLING STATIONS TENDER
MBABANE – Datamatics Swaziland has scored highest in an over E2.5 million tender issued by ENPC.
ENPC is the Eswatini National Petroleum Company which is a Category ‘A’ public enterprise with a mandate to secure, market and trade in crude oil and petroleum products and to carry on the business of supplying and distributing petroleum and its products into and from the Kingdom of Eswatini, among other duties. The tender was for consultancy services for the identification of 15 potential sites for filling stations in the country.
Bidders
Datamatics scored an unmatched 94.08 per cent with a proposed contract price of E2 538 924 to make the cut ahead of two South African companies and one from the country. The bidders from the neighbouring country were identified as EPCM and Crede Capital Partners. This is as per an intention to award notice which was posted on the Eswatini Public Procurement Regulatory Agency (ESPPRA) website. The information was posted as per Section 45 (3) (b) of the Public Procurement Act No.7 of 2011. “Following a competitive bidding process, notice is hereby given that a contract award decision has been reached by the approvals authority. “The contract award decision does not constitute a contract. All tenderers who submitted bids are hereby notified that a period of 10 working days is hereby allowed for submission of any application for reviews,” reads the posted information in part.
Meanwhile, early this year ENPC had issued a request for proposals (RFP) in a bid to solicit competitive, sealed proposals for the identification of potential sites that ENPC could consider for its filling stations particularly in the rural areas of the country. The scope of work for this proposal will primarily consist of but not necessarily be limited to an overview of the petroleum sector and a competitor analysis; mapping of the current filling stations around the country and identification of potential areas for the filling stations.
Potential
The successful bidder will further collect information on potential sites that already have land ownership/King’s consent, liaising with stakeholders such as Commercial Amadoda on top of gathering primary and secondary data on traffic flow in identified areas around the country.
