WOMAN FARMER COMPETITION 1ST ADJUDICATION DONE

MBABANE – The 2021 Woman Farmer of The Year Competition is about to reach boiling point.

Woman Farmer Foundation Programmes Assistant Ayanda Nkambule shared that the adjudication process first phase had been completed.  Woman and female farmers’ enterprises were judged across all four regions starting from Hhohho, Manzini, Shiselweni and Lubombo. The process was spread over a two-week period with an estimate of two days spent in each region.

Selection

“The selection of the top 20 (10 youth and 10 adults) will soon be under way which will be announced soon. “Individual woman and female youth farmers will be notified when the visitations will commence for the top 20,” shared Nkambule. Nkambule thanked their partners who availed their services with personnel and vehicles to ensure that the judging process was fair and transparent. A total of 15 women and the same number of youth farmers will be visited.  However, only 10 from each section will be selected.
