Sibusiso Mnisi, Manager of external trade at EIPA commented on the benefits that local businesses would have by signing up for the B2B meetings. He said the ultimate aim is to create a trade linkage between our local traders and the Asian market. “Part of EIPA’s mandate is to enhance trade in Eswatini locally, regionally and with international markets,” he said.
Mnisi said these seminars would expose local businesses to the Asian market by allowing them to have one on one time with companies in Taiwan who either want to source products from Eswatini or those who want to become suppliers for local businesses.
Sectors
The sectors which would be covered include the automobile, plastic packaging, electronics, food and beverages, healthcare, chemicals, ICT, solar, home and office decor and manufacturing sectors. He said each meeting would last 30 minutes, scheduled between nine and 12, and will be a private interaction between a local company and an interested participant in Taiwan.
Mnisi added that traders from Eswatini would be expected to register for the sessions, as space is limited. Eswatini based companies who would like to apply for the meetings should access the registration forms.
