NOTHANDO HLOPHE FIRES UP SPIRIT OF PRAISE ALL-STARS SHOW
MBABANE – This past Saturday at Carnival City Big Top Arena in South Africa (SA), local Gospel sensation Nothando Dlamini née Hlophe left her heart on the stage, taking the fans through memory lane with hits like ‘Khulula ugcobo’.
Hlophe performed alongside Zaza Mokhethi and a few other SA artists who were part of the greatly followed musical group. The show saw members of Spirit of Praise one to eight gather for a magical night of great Gospel hits. Meanwhile, the singer, nearly eight years later, reunited with Zaza Mokhethi who is featured on the song. The duo gave a stellar performance over the weekend which was after a couple of years of not performing together.
This was during the Spirit of Praise all-star reunion which featured Gospel giants like Benjamin Dube, Omega, Winnie Mashaba and Dumi Mkokstad.
The local Gospel sensation also shared with this publication that she was working on new music.
Amazing
She said: “I have taken time to work on an album and it will be worth the wait.” Hlophe shared that she had been working on a 10-track album that would be released early next year. “I have written all my songs and ready to record. The challenge I’m having right now is choosing a recording venue. I’m not sure if I want to do it in the country or in South Africa. I have prepared an amazing body of work for my fans and they can expect nothing but the best,” said Hlophe.
