SKN CAPITAL INVESTMENTS FOR E2.6M EWSC CONTRACT

MBABANE – SKN Capital Investments has emerged the best evaluated tenderer for the over E2.6 million supply and installation of bulk and prepaid water meters.

The intention to award the contract, published by the Eswatini Public Procurement Regulatory Agency (ESPPRA) yesterday, revealed that SKN Capital Investments, a liSwati- owned company came out the best evaluated tenderer.“In terms of section 45 of the Public Procurement Act No. 7 of 2011 (the Act), following a competitive bidding process, notice is hereby given that a contract award decision for the above-cited tender has been reached by the approvals authority,” reads the notice. It was stated that the total proposed contract price was E2 693 473.73.
It must be noted that, in terms of section 45(2) of the Act, the above contract award decision does not constitute a contract. Further, in terms of section 45(4), 46, and 47 of the Act, all tenderers who submitted bids are hereby notified that a period of ten working days is hereby allowed for submission of any application for review from the above stated date of the first publication of this notice.

Specifications

Worth mentioning is that at least eight tenderers or companies did not meet required technical specifications and this companies included Advanced Technologies and Solutions, Biogas Investments, Spectrum Utility Management  (Pty) Ltd, Pith Investments in Joint Venture (JV) with Lekhohlwa Investments. Other companies that did not meet required technical specifications were Lula Solutions, ASD (Pty) Ltd, ERG Swaziland (Pty) Ltd, Pincus Investments.
