MBABANE – The Eswatini Credit Providers Association (ECPA) says its primary focus is on initiatives aimed at enhancing financial inclusion and empowerment among emaSwati.

ECPA Chairperson Dlamini said they were currently working on several fronts to achieve this goal. He shared that firstly, they were actively developing innovative financial products and services tailored to meet the diverse needs of emaSwati, including accessible credit options and financial education programmes. He said by offering a range of tailored solutions, they aimed to promote responsible borrowing and overall financial literacy within the community.

The chairperson said they were also committed to leveraging technology to improve access to financial services across Eswatini. He said through digital platforms and mobile banking solutions, they aimed to reach individuals in remote areas and provide them with convenient and affordable access to financial tools. “Moreover, we are engaged in collaborative efforts with Government and government agencies, regulatory bodies and other key stakeholders to advocate for policies that support financial inclusion and consumer protection,” he said. “By working together, we can address systemic barriers and create an environment where all emaSwati have the opportunity to thrive financially,” he added.
