ENPF’S UNLISTED INVESTMENTS IN ESWATINI

MBABANE – The Eswatini National Provident Fund (ENPF) has invested in several companies in the country and such investments continues to bear fruits for the fund.

According to the ENPF annual report for the year ended June 2023, the fund had shares in different sectors across ranging from property, hospitality, telecommunications among others.
These investments evaluations showed a significant growth when compared to the previous year. The valuations of these investments stood at E1 618 980 625 in 2023, while in 2022 they were at E1 454 489 715.

It is worth noting that ENPF owns 100 per cent shareholding at the Happy Valley hotel, 61.95 per cent at the Industrial Development Company of Eswatini (IDCE), 36.82 per cent at the Bhunu Mall to name a few.

Shareholding

Subsequent to year end, the Fund acquired a 22.5 per stake in Unifoods for E63.9 Million. Unfiods is a milling and pre-packing business that owns several well known local brands. The Fund further acquired 8 000 000 convertible preference shares in Eswatini mobile for E57 680 000.
