MBABANE – FNB Eswatini has pledged support to the tune of E430 000, for this year’s Eswatini International Trade Fair (EITF).

This was revealed by the bank’s Chief Marketing Officer, Zethu Dlamini, at the annual event’s official launch yesterday, at the Mavuso Exhibition and Trade Centre in Manzini. She was speaking on behalf of FNB Chief Executive Officer Dennis Mbingo. Dlamini mentioned that the sponsorship comes in twofold, with E230 000 directed towards the ‘win a car’ competition, which saw a E30 000 increase from last year’s sponsorship.

Purpose

She revealed that the remaining E200 000 would be directed to sponsoring the business seminars that happen throughout the duration of the trade fair event. Dlamini mentioned that at the core of the bank is providing help, not just generically, but with purpose. She was referring to other projects that the bank is currently doing in other areas of the economy and through their corporate social Investment (CSI).  Another local company that presented a sponsorship was Jenny Internet, who pledged to connect the event through free Wi-Fi for all attendees. Speaking at the launch, the internet company’s Country Manager Ndumiso Sifundza, mentioned that the free access will not only be for exhibitors and traders, but everyone who will be attending this year’s event.
