… AVOID THE USE OF NON-REGISTERED AGENTS AND CONSULTANTS

MBABANE – Business owners are cautioned to avoid the use of non-registered Agents and Consultants.

The Registrar of Companies Msebe Malinga warned the business community against cunning opportunists who were posing as agents or consultants who were robbing business people of their hard earned monies. He said these opportunists come in the pretext of assisting clients in compiling and filing their company documents whilst charging clients exorbitant and ridiculous monies for such service. Malinga said they have reported cases of such experiences from their clients and they were encouraging anyone that would experience such an unfortunate encounter to immediately report such.

“Should any of our clients experience such unprofessional service from any Agent or Consultant or from an officer from the Ministry of Commerce Industry and Trade, please don’t hesitate to contact the Registrar of Companies,” said Malinga.Furthermore, the business community is encouraged to utilize the online platforms for the download and filling of their forms (Form C’s) which are available on the Ministry of Commerce Industry and Trade website.

Registrar of Companies Msebe Malinga said this was the most efficient and secures method. He said companies were further encouraged to make their payments on our electronic payment platforms on MoMo at *468# or visit the Eswatini Revenue Service Centres (ERS) to make payments. “We also want to advise our clients that they ensure that they correctly compile their documents to be filed to avoid unnecessary queries in their documents and information by the office of the registrar of companies which might delay processes,” said Malinga. It is worth noting that government recently announced that services like paying for company registration or renewals was no longer for at the Government Revenue Services by rather at the ERS service centres.
