‘KHONA’ WINS ANOTHER TERM AS SSCMA CHAIRPERSON
MBABANE – Khonelikhosi Dlamini was last Friday elected unopposed as the Swaziland School Choral Music Association (SSCMA) chairperson.
This happened during the elections held at Ezulwini.
This means Dlamini who is famously known as Khona in the choral music circle will continue leading the association for the next three years.
The members of the association who included music teachers, adjudicators and composers felt Khona had worked hard in making sure the association is the best and also achieved most of its goals and objectives.
He was also praised for ensuring everything ran smoothly during the past SwaziBank Schools Choral Music Competitions.
It was felt that Khona was still the right person to lead the association and therefore he should continue.
Also making it into the committee was Sithembiso Dlamini who was elected as the association’s secretary general.
Sithembiso will continue in the same position after being successful during the elections.
The rest of the committee includes Veronica Dlamini, Bheki Fakudze, Bheki Mvubu, Sindi Kunene and Lindiwe Masuku.
Khona thanked the SSCMA members for believing in him saying his committee would have not been able to achieve some of its goals had it not been for their support.
“During the elections, the members mentioned that they had seen the committee working hard. They then asked me to continue being the chair something I had no problem with.”
