MANZINI – Like a cat with nine lives, recently axed Redemption Story Choir director Thulani Ntshangase has recovered from the setback to form his own music choir.
Actually, Ntshangase revived his once famous choir Courageous Gospel Choir.

The choir shot to fame in the early 90s and was working closely with Inkhosikati LaMbikiza. It was re-launched at the George Hotel on Saturday night.
The choir will no longer be known as Courageous Gospel Group but will now be known as Courageous Singers.
All along, Ntshangase was working with Redemption Story, a choir he led until its live recording held at the Royal Swazi Spa Convention Centre in October last year.
This was before he was dismissed from Redemption Story in November 2016.

However, being discharged from the choir,  whose patron is Inkhosikati LaMbikiza, seemed to be a thing of the past for Ntshangase as he had a smiling face while he walked to the stage, wearing a navy blue suit, to introduce his 22-member choir this past Saturday.
Apart from the 22 singers, the choir has got a seven-piece band, which was also introduced during the launch.
Introducing the choir, he mentioned that Courageous Gospel Group used to be a hit among music lovers, but because of differences and other work commitments, it separated.

He said gospel music lovers should understand that to them this was a ministry and a calling and they could not just have let it go just like that.
“Since this is a calling for us, it is the reason why I decided to revive the choir. However, this time around, it has a structure that is looking at the progress of the choir. we want to make it a point that the choir becomes one of the best choirs and also produce good music that will reach international standards,” he said.
Present during the launch were Stanley Dlamini, Swaziland National Council of Arts and Culture (SNCAC) Chief Executive Officer, Swaziland Arts and Music Association (SWAMA) President Lutfo Dlamini, Nhlambeni Member of Parliament (MP) Frans Dlamini and Apostle Whatmore Makwara.
