MBABANE – “Most people especially gospel music lovers thought I was no more but thank God for giving me another chance at life”.

These were the words of gospel artists Bheki Khanyile from his hospital bed at Caroline in South Africa.
Khanyile who is a member of ‘Come To Jesus’ Gospel Group and also the founder and leader of Praise Unlimited, is among the four Swazis who were involved in a tragic accident that claimed the life of three people.

Serious

The artist together with his wife Banothile, a friend Sabelo Dlamini and his wife Lindiwe were from a holiday in Johannesburg when the car they were travelling in, a  BMW registered DSD 166 CM was involved in a head on collision with a Toyota Corolla  from Lesotho.

The accident occurred on Sunday night. When the accident occurred, the couples were approaching Carolina as they were on their way home.
The car belonged to Khanyile but was driven by Sabelo who happens to be his close friend. Khanyile and his wife were critically injured.
His wife was yesterday transferred to another hospital in Johannesburg as she sustained serious injuries.

“I just thank God that we survived. I have been receiving a lot of calls from some of the artists who wanted to know how I was. I am so humbled by the support I have received so far,” he said.

Crashed

He mentioned that when the accident occurred, he was asleep and was only woken by a loud ‘bang’ and it’s at that time that he realised the  car he was in had crashed into another .
“I just do not know what happened. I really thank God that we survived because the accident was a serious one. I am just hoping my wife will get better as the others have been discharged,” he said.

He thanked all those who have been praying for them, saying they still need more prayers especially for his wife who was seriously injured.
