MBABANE – Local artists seem to be taking the South Africa music industry by storm.

Gospel artist Frans Dlamini is now making waves in South Africa following his song ‘Liphi Ithikithi’ becoming one of the famous songs on Ligwalagwala FM.

The song has made it into the stations top 20 gospel music songs chart.
The song which was released four years ago is now trending as if it is a new release in the popular radio station which has a listenership of over two million people daily. Suprisingly this is a song Frans debuted over five years ago. Last week’s charts are based on legendary gospel songs that topped the charts for more than three weeks when released and sold over 50 000 units.

On Sunday, the song was positioned at number five.
It is not the first time for Fran’s songs to make it into the top 20 as some of his songs in his previous albums have been a hit on the programme. Before making it into the top 20, the song has been played several times on the radio station and music lovers have been demanding to hear it from time to time.

Dlamini mentioned that he had noted that he had a lot of followers in South Africa. “I appreciate the support I have been getting from our fans. The fact that I have made it into the top 20 legends chart shows that people love my music. God is doing wonders and I am excited,” he said.
He said he will continue putting more effort in making sure that everything goes well in as far as the promotion of local gospel music is concerned.
