‘TRAFFICKED SWAZIS’ ASK GAWUZELA TO FREE THEM!
MBABANE – He seems to be a life saver as most desperate people run to him for help. This is none other than Mduduzi ‘Gawuzela’ Simelane, who has been receiving numerous calls from people who need help.
What might come as a shocker is that the Swazis who are alleged to have been trafficked to South Arica have since run to Gawuzela asking for help.
The 32 Swazis who are among the 72 people who were trafficked into South Africa and are currently in Newcastle have since called the gospel artist asking to be brought home.
It’s been a week now since the Swazis were taken to a place of safety after their boss was arrested and the farm they were working in was closed.
However, those who were in the farm have not been allowed to leave the country (South Africa) as the police said they will be required to be witnesses in court when their ex-boss makes an appearance.
On Tuesday night, Gawuzela received a call from one of the women who identified herself as Hlengiwe Mtimandze who begged Simelane to assist them.
Mtimandze mentioned that they were working at the farm but unfortunately their boss was arrested due to a misunderstanding with some of his workers.
She told Simelane that the boss’s arrest led to the company they were working for being closed.
Safety
Instead of them being released, they have been kept in a place of safety and no one is attending to their case. The woman claimed that they were told to write statements on how they got to the farm.
