SANDS THE ENIGMATIC STAR SCOOPS GOLD!!!
MBABANE – More ‘ching ching’ for local hit maker, Sands. Local artist, Sands seems to be making it in the music industry, not just locally but in other neighbouring countries too and the latest developments aligned to this singer has been the fact that he has scooped Gold Status from his album sales, meaning he has sold over 20 000 copies of his album.
The official gold plaque presentation was held in Sandton’s L’Opulance, in South Africa.
Purposes
The main purposes for the event were to formally introduce Sands to the media at large and also to the South African market, the promoters and fans.
This was done by the managing company and record label responsible for Sands music IconPB Music.
The event had ‘A-listers’ from South Africa’s television stations such as Vuzu and MTV presenters, Anele Mdoda’s Real Talk team, Live Amp’s Sjula Dlamini and other well wishers who had come to witness the presentation.
Sands has swiftly crooned his way into the hearts of many since releasing his hit single ‘Tigi’.
The single, which a lot of South African publications has described as ‘So disgustingly catchy that with one listen, it glues itself to your mind’ has put the artist on the map.
The hit maker during his remarks said that it was surprising because SiSwati is still one of the overlooked languages and that being able to have people from different aspects of life who speak different languages was purely amazing and he was grateful to be the doorway for that.
