GAWUZELA, SOUL BROTHERS BRINGS DOWN BIG BEND

BIG BEND – Music lovers were eager to witness the results of the ‘Battle of the Giants’ show and for most of them it turned to be a draw.


Over 2 000 people decided to spend the whole night at the Mayaluka Stadium just to watch local gospel group Mduduzi Nezinceku Zamagagwugawu competing with South African king of Mbaqhanga music, Soul Brothers.
The show held on Saturday night brought people from all corners of the country together just to witness what was the first of its kind as the night saw people enjoying Mbaqhanga and gospel music.


The show started just after 7pm. It was as if those who attended the show had only come to watch only two groups being Emagagwugawu and Soul Brothers.
As they entered, they wanted to see if Soul Brothers had arrived for the show as they were keen to watch the competition between the two groups.


Before the two main artists two the stage, the audience got to watch other artists who included Sipho Makhabane who gave a splendid performance.
The Big Fist started performing at 10:15 PM and performed for an hour.
He sang most of his famous songs which include ‘Zawa Indonga’ and ‘The Devil Is A Liar’.


These songs were among the hit song.
During his performance Makhabane went of stage and got close to his fans something which the fans enjoyed. Some of the fans got an opportunity of shaking hands with the artists while performing.
Also at his best was former MTN Joyous Celebration star Sphumelele Mbambo and Maskandi singer Phuzekhemisi who also gave a splendid performance. 


Gawuzela went on stage just after midnight and gave a two hour performance.
The fans did not get tired of Gawuzela’s long performance as they wanted more form him. They demanded his to sing all his songs something did.
Soon after his performance, le left the stage for Soul Brothers. Music lovers just could not wait to watch the group led by Moses ‘Blackmoses’ Ngwenya performing.


As usual, Soul Brothers did not disappoint as. The group made sure that it gives one of the performances giving a four hour performance.
The fans did not mind the time spend as they wanted to dance until morning.
