EZULWINI – The Miss Cultural Heritage pageant has grown so big that a total of 26 corporate sponsors pulled their weight in support of this year’s event.

Sigeja Curios, a traditional fashion clothing outlet in Mbabane, and Swazi Mobile were unveiled as some of  the new sponsors for this year’s event, slanted for October 28, 2017.
Sigeja Curios led the pack with giveaway prizes for dignitaries and attendees during the Swazi Arts and Culture Fair, elegant traditional clothing designs plus E1 000 food for attendees.
The new traditional fashion clothing outlet went on to showcase a wide range of traditional fashion line, in a fashion show that saw many flocking their stall to place orders.

Mhlonishwa Motsa, who was the event’s programme director described Sigeja Curios as the concept that was needed to sustain and speak of our culture and heritage.
The Culture Fair was held at the newly established, yet to be launched, Emfuleni Resort, at Ezulwini near Mvutshini.
Arts and Culture CEO Stanley Dlamini described the Saturday’s Culture Fair and Fashion Show as a new branding for our arts and culture, with the corporate sector giving much and unexpected support.  Sponsoring companies had pitched their stalls at the venue while networking was the order of the day.

“When you see the corporate sector giving so much support to the Miss Cultural Heritage pageant, it  goes to show how arts and the Swazi culture  are developing in line with vision 2022,” Dlamini said.
Models from the South African Development Community (SADC) also took to the runway during the second fashion show, which also left many panting for more.
The Miss Cultural Heritage 2017 pageant will also be broadcast live on Swazi TV, with the winners  sponsored to take courses of their choice in Degrees and Diplomas.
“If you haven’t invested in culture, you haven’t done the right investment,” the SNCAC CEO said. Dignitaries who attended the event included MP Frans Dlamini and MP Michael Masilela, who also received prizes from Sigeja Curios.

Roman Chowdhury, owner of Sigeja Curios, said he was more than pleased to join the lists of sponsors and partners of the Miss Cultural Heritage, as this was the main idea behind the whole concept.
“We are about culture and heritage, and partnering with Miss Cultural Heritage and the Arts and Culture community is a vision realised and meant to be taken further,” Chowdhury said.
The store also announced that they will be opening shop in Nhlangano and that Swazi Culture is going beyond vision  2022 as loved by all nations.
“We will be witnessing the Umhlanga Reed Dance ceremony and we will be taking the world centre stage with our cultural heritage,” said the proud owner of Swazi and African Designs.
