THE FNB SMOOTH FESTIVAL THAT WAS
SIDVOKODVO – With escaping sound no longer an issue, the most evident influence of the FNB Smooth Festival was its charming surroundings of Riders Ranch.
An erudite awareness of high fashion aside, this FNB Smooth Festival gang also has a keen sense of dance floor awareness. “I want to see Psychemagic later,” we overhear one switched on lass, no older than my mother remark.
Attracting a slightly more mature crowd than the boisterous boys and girls we see almost every time we go out, they’re also an amicable bunch. But it’s not just the music that’s helped spread The FNB Smooth Festival’s word like wildfire, ensuring its growth in its second year. It had just over 1 500 revellers in 2015 and this year boosted over 3 000.
FNB has raised standards in as far as hosting an outdoor event is concerned. Everyone who attended the FNB Smooth Festival would attest to this because boy did we have fun!
Needless to say that Swazis can hold down a good party it was evident that the kind of setting that this year’s festival provided was something that almost everyone that attended was impressed by.
