NDUDUZO NOMINATED FOR CROWN GOSPEL AWARDS
MBABANE – Gospel artist Nduduzo Matse’s star continues to rise.
The ‘Gelekece’ fame hitmaker is the only Swazi artists with a nomination in this year’s SABC Crown Gospel Awards.
His name was called out during the award’s nomination party held last Friday in Durban. Matse will compete for the Best of Africa Award. When the nominees were announced, he was not present as he had another commitment in Limpompo where he is part of the South African gospel tour. In this category, Matse will be competing with other well known artists who include Vitus Onyeze Ingwe, Jenet Manyowa and James Okomi. Announcing the nominees, Zanele Mbokazi, founder of the awards said she was happy that most artists were now seeing the importance of the awards. She said she was looking forward to the main night of the awards which is expected to be the last weekend of November.
Thanked
She thanked all the artists including the locals for making an attempt saying they were impressed with the number of entries.
Matse said he was excited to be nominated and hopes to bring the award home.
“Because of my busy schedule, I could not make it to the nomination party. I did, however, get a call from the organising team informing me that I had been nominated. I am excited and hope to bring the award back home,” he said.
Ronnie Dlamini, Association of Christian Artists in Swaziland (ACASWA) Public Relations Officer (PRO) congratulated Matse adding that they were hoping that he will be among the winners on the night.
