MBABANE –“Sing to the Lord, all the earth; proclaim his salvation day after day.”

This is a Bible verse taken from the book of 1 Chronicles 16:23 and this was the same verse that came into life last Friday night during the first ‘Zion Worship Nights’ themed event , which was held at Eagles Wings Ministries International.
Over 300 worshippers attended the show despite the rainy and cold  weather.

Upon arriving at the venue and seeing that the weather may be against their worshipping stride, they patiently waited for the show to start while they set the mood by saying a short prayer, praying for the success of the show that was to start.

Even though it started at 10pm which was later than the original 6pm time, MTN SWAMA nominee and gospel rap artist Skeel took over the stage and rendered a spiritual poem titled ‘This is Zion,’ which he performed back stage setting the mood for the show to start.

Singing a beautiful interpretation of the song ‘Hosanna,’ the main man of the night, Wandile Hlophe made worshippers stand on their feet while others were taken by the holy spirit as they would now and again pray in tongues and sing along.

The prayers would last for a good 15 minutes ,with the church filled to capacity with gospel music lovers and worshippers singing along to some of Wandile Hlophe’s popular songs from his latest album.

These included ‘This is Zion’ such as tracks ‘Babe Siyakubonga’ and ‘Iyabhodla’, there was a clear indication of the fact that the room had already been filled with the Holy Spirit as a lot of people got emotional during the performance.
