MBABANE – Soul Brothers could not be left out during the service to honour the late businessman Victor Gamedze.

The group leader Moses ‘Blackmose’ Ngwenya, drove all the way from South Africa just to bid farewell to the well-known businessman.

Gamedze had a good business relationship with Soul Brothers as he used them during some of his promotional events, both in soccer and Swazi Mobile launch.

Only a few saw Ngwenya as he was seated at the back of the stretch tent that had been prepared for the VIPs.
He arrived at around 11am and quietly sat until the end of the service around 3.30pm. A few of those who saw him felt that he should have at least played some of his cords of the organ that had been placed on stage. However, the musician made it clear that his soul was in such torment over the death of someone he considered a friend, that there was no way he could have performed.

Others appreciated his presence saying it was good that he attended the memorial service, especially Mbabane Swallows fans.  The fans further on pledged their support to the group saying they will continue supporting it, especially because they have shown loyalty by coming to pay respect to their fallen boss.

Ngwenya said there was absolutely no way he could have not attended the memorial service.
“Gamedze was a good friend and business mentor. He used to always come to watch us during our performances  and said  he enjoyed our  Mbaqanga music. We would then sit down for long chats on business and life in general each time we met, we will miss him ” he said.
