MBABANE – If you are a veteran clubber you definitely know his face.

Popular bouncer Mduduzi Dlamini, who was mostly seen at different clubs and events for those who enjoy the night life, is dead. Dlamini died last Thursday night after a short illness. Dlamini died at the age of 45.The demise of the bouncer from Makholweni in Manzini was confirmed by his brother, Manqoba Dlamini, who did not wish to elaborate on the cause of death.
The bouncer worked closely with Swazi Boy Entertainment and that is how he also became popular.

He was a regular bouncer for the entertainment crew at Mphandze, Super Rock, Cafe De Flore, Egg Yolk (the current Yoruba Lounge), Déjà Vu at Esibayeni Lodge, House on Fire and many other places. Dlamini was known for his strict ‘No Nonsense’ attitude while going about the duties of his job, yet he had a humble personality.

Manqoba said that the Dlamini family was saddened by the sudden death of their brother. “He was a bit sick but we did not anticipate death,” he said. He also said that they were aware that he was a bouncer and that is why even when he got sick they believed the burly muscled man would heal fast. “He loved keeping fit and was obsessed with gym, we were not shocked when we first heard that he was a bouncer,” he said.
The deceased bouncer leaves behind no wife and no children. The funeral will be held on Saturday morning at Makholweni after a vigil on Friday.
