SWAZI VIBES VOL. 1 SOLD OUT IN 3 DAYS
MBABANE – The #LoyalToLocal initiative is whisking Swazi produced CDs off the shelves.
The newly released CD titled ‘Swazi Vibes Vol. 1’ has been sold out within three days of its release.
The CD is a compilation of tracks from 15 local recording artists. ‘Swazi Vibes Vol. 1’ was released last Tuesday and the 400 produced copies were sold out by Friday.

The CD serves to please diverse music lovers under one roof as it has a bit of house, jazz, hip hop, afro pop and RnB.
It has also been trending on social media for the brilliant compilation.

Lawton explained that the CD came to being after they felt tourists needed Swazi music and in a non-bulky manner.
“It made sense to make one CD of local songs than for the tourists to buy different CDs. In ‘Swazi Vibes Vol. 1’, they will get to experience Swazi talent in one copy,” said Lawton.
Marketed
The CD was produced by Lawton with the assistance of Prosper Takawira and it was marketed by Makotopong Sound Studios in Mozambique and mastered by Ziyawa KaZitha.
Lawton highlighted that they are in the process of making more copies though she did not reveal the numbers.
“I am excited that Swazis and tourists are responding positively to the CD which is the first of many to come. In our next one, we will be unearthing new talent,” said Lawton.
