MBABANE – It is best that children are groomed young.  Alliance Francaise de Mbabane will be holding a series of events to celebrate the Francophonie week from March 17 to 24.

The Francophonie celebrations will kick start with a School Festival which will take place in March 17 and March 23 at MDS High School Hall.

On these days, schools will be celebrating the Siswati language through different performances and activities including drama, poetry and music.
Alliance Francaise Director, Valerier Munier said that it is worth noting that the Francophonie Festival will be celebrating both Siswati and French.

She said that children will get a chance to experience and share the Francophonie spirit, but most importantly they will be given the chance to share their creative talents and get to perform.

It is of noting that the main festival will be free and will take place on March 24 at the Alliance Francaise of Mbabane from 12 pm to 5pm.

Swazi culture will be the focus of the day. This year again, the festival will offer the winner of the rap contest the chance to perform at the MTN BUSHFIRE Festival this May.
