MBABANE – The ‘two-in-one’ artist is back!

After leaving the music scene unceremoniously for three years, rapper and poet Qibho Intalektual is back. His first show is set for April 7 and it is dubbed ‘Qibho Intalektual featuring Emadloti’. The ‘Emadloti’, in this context, refers to the beauty of Swaziland and not an artist; it is a figure of speech.

The show will be hosted at Bahle Gallery.
Qibho informed this publication that the concept was about bringing out the beauty and talent of Swaziland to the whole world.
“The world is wel-versted with our music but they are not aware of the beauty of Swaziland and we aim at bringing that out by taking a video of this show and the other show as this concept is a sequence,” said the rapper.

The sequence will happen around the country and the different sceneries of the country will be shot in a form of an audiovisual, which will be uploaded on YouTube and other internal blog spots.

The artist also explained making music while he was away and he felf it was about time he shared it to the world. “I was making music the whole time and the material that I have now is approximately three albums. I encourage people to come and listen to the content that I have been making for the past three years,” said Qibho.

Claiming Ground Records’ Steven Mthethwa said it had always been their wish to market the Swazi talent on international platforms. “Seeing their craft navigates the globe and as such Claiming Ground Records has worked extensively with Qibho Intalektual to see some of his material, the likes of such hits as ‘Eita Da’ being presented to the nation and the world over.

“This show has been put together by Qibho, who felt it important to present his all-round genius before the release of his upcoming project,” said Mthethwa. He also said the show was not to be missed and that there were limited seats, hence they emphasised the importance of buying the tickets soon which will be out today at Bahle Gallery.
