MATSAPHA – A Zion gown is the only gift that the All Nation Christian Church In Zion could give to gospel artist Sipho ‘Big Fish’ Makhabane.

Makhabane’s surprise  visit to the church last Sunday resulted in him being given one of the symbolic church gowns, which the church hopes he  will wear on July 2 at the Mavuso Trade and Exhibition Centre. This will be during the Mpumalanga Praise show.
Makhabane visited the church, which is under the leadership of Bishop Bheki Lukhele, where he spent 30 minutes performing and also motivating church members.

The purpose of the visit, according to the ‘Big Fish’, was to show support to the Christian Zion sector. “Truth be told, the Zion sector always seems to be left out when it comes to Christian gatherings. So I thought it best to come and invite them to the Mpumalanga Praise show as it is time all denominations come together ,” said Makhabane.

Most of the church members were pleasantly surprised to be visited by the gospel legend, and warmly welcomed him. The singer did not waste any time with words as he took to the podium with his hit song ‘Zawa Indonga’.

He was joined by the church members, together with the bishop, who sung and danced along .
Just before he left the stage, Makhabane was given one of the Zion sectors’ symbolic church gowns as a gift. To show his appreciation, he swiftly wore it and started performing the  song titled ‘Ebenezer’while showing off the white Zion gown.

This received much applause from the congregants,  who said they were happy to see someone of his calibre respect their faith.
Makhabane promised that on July 2, 2018 during the Mpumalanga Praise album launch, he would be wearing the gown.
