MBABANE – It seems the MTN BUSHFIRE Festival is a gift that keeps on giving to the people of Eswatini.

Just days after the end of the festival, in-demand LiSwati photographer Mbuleleo Ndlovu, born and bred in the Kingdom of Eswatini, took a spectacular picture of award winning South African, and the ‘Motswako originator’ himself, Khuli Chana ,which he later retweeted after seeing it on social media with the caption “Wow!!!”.

Khuli Chana did not just post the picture, but he also gave due credit to the rising photographer by tagging him on the picture.
The picture itself is worthy of all praise as it captures Chana, in mid air with the lighting and angle on point, while performing at the MTN BUSHFIRE Festival main stage last  Friday night.

Speaking to Ndlovu, he expressed great excitement after he realised that Chana had not only seen the picture but retweeted it as well. “So I basically put up the picture across all platforms and when I uploaded it on twitter it got a couple of retweets from friends and strangers.

“I had to wait until the next day (last Saturday)when I saw him upload the picture to promote his unreleased single,” said Ndlovu. “What’s more special for me is that I was not the only photographer at the festival, as there were internationally renowned photographers from as far as the United Kingdom.  Yet he still chose to use my picture,” he added.

Ndlovu also said for a big celebrity like Chana to recognise his work made him feel special and it also served as a reminder of just how good his work is. “For people to just stumble on the picture and decide to use it, that is just an amazing feeling,” said Ndlovu. What is more interesting is the fact that Ndlovu’s photography skills are self taught.

He said he just fell in love with taking pictures and it became a hobby as he was still a student at the Swaziland Christian University.
