PIGG’S PEAK – Residents of Pigg’s Peak have 10 beautiful reasons to enjoy this coming weekend.

It is that time of the year when the country’s inarguably most exciting beauty pageant is held – The Miss Pigg’s Peak Beauty Pageant.
The pageant has registered 10 girls from Pigg’s Peak and the surrounding communities.

Last Saturday, the 10 contestants participated in a promotional car wash at Mpempe Car Wash which is also a sponsor of the pageant.
Even motorists with clean cars couldn’t resist driving into the car wash as the beauties paraded, ready to wipe their vehicles even cleaner.
Speaking about the event, Kwazile Masimula the organiser said the main event will take place on July 28, 2018 at the Gobolondlo Hall in Pigg’s Peak.
Masimula who has successfully hosted previous events said she was looking forward to the next event.

Hosting

This is the third year she will be hosting the event which attracts throngs of fun lovers.
She also revealed that the show will be characterised by music performances by artists yet to be revealed.
During the past few years, Pigg’s Peak artists such as M Nation and Fufu performed during the event.

The owner of Mpempe Car Wash which is a major sponsor Patrick Dlamini said this was an opportunity for his company to give back to the community.
He commended the Pigg’s Peak Municipality for availing opportunities to young business owners.

Dlamini said he sponsored the girls with T-Shirts during the car wash and will sponsor some of the prizes including that of the crowned queen.
He said he hoped that his contribution to the pageant would go a long way in developing the community especially by uplifting those who are disadvantaged.
“It is not just about finding someone beautiful but crowning a person who will add value to young people during her reign,” said Dlamini.
