ESWATINI COUNTRY MUSIC FESTIVAL VIP TICKETS SOLD OUT!

MBABANE – If you have an interest of being part of the first ever Eswatini Country Music Festival and want to be in the VIP section, better forget.
This is because VIP tickets have been sold out which cost for E250 each.

The festival will be held tomorrow at Riders Ranch in Sidvokodvo. Behind the festival is the Eswatini Country Music Association (ECMA). This is an association formed in 2011 and its purpose is to bring country and western musicians together.

The association wants to make sure that this type of music is well understood and well followed. The association which now has a fully fledged executive committee is also registered with the Eswatini National Council of Arts and Culture (ENCAC).

Organisers of the festival have confirmed that only general tickets are still available at the price of E100 while children under the age of 12 will pay E50.
Performing on the day will be the likes of South African country musicians Lance James and Barbara Ray. The two artists will be joined by Esther Konkora from Kenya, Rodeo Girls and Jason Bradley from South Africa.

Visiting artists will share the stage with well known country music singers, Isaac Gamedze, Siphesihle Nkwanyana, Dusty and Stones and Cleopatra.
Siphesihle Nkwanyana, the chairperson of the festival’s organising committee confirmed that the VIP tickets were sold out.

 “All these artists have confirmed and they are definitely coming. Country music loves should brace themselves for an exciting show,” she said.
She emphasised that this was nothing but just a family day saying music lovers should make sure they come with their families.

“This is a celebration for country music lovers. Let’s all wear our hats and go to the Raiders Ranch in numbers,” she said.
Some of the artists who will be performing during the festival said they were more than ready to entertain the country and western music lovers.
One of them was Gazi ‘Dusty’ Simelane. The country music singer who sings with Linda Msibi affectionately known as Stones from Dusty and Stones country music duo said “What excites us as artists is that we have been working hard with the hope that country music will one day be recognised and this is the moment for us as artists. We just cannot wait to be on the stage.”
