MBABANE – A silver lining has been presented to Eswatini aspiring actors the chance to act on an international movie ‘Telutsandvo Atipheli’ has been given to them.

Uzalo’s Captain Mthimkhulu, real name Sifiso Memela, Imbewu’s Phunyuka, real name Ngqopho Nombela and South African scriptwriter Nhlanhla Nkosi will be hosting auditions for emaSwati who are keen to act on upcoming international movie titled ‘Telutsandvo Atipheli’.
The auditions are set for Saturday at 9am opposite Bethel Court in Ezulwini.

 Working

The South African actors and scriptwriter are working towards finding the talented emaSwati in liaison with Eswatini renowned actor Thembinkosi Mthethwa, Eswatini National Council of Arts and Culture (ENCAC) and The House of Prayer of All Nation’s Apostle B. Msibi.
According to Mthethwa, who is also the facilitator, the actors  and Nkosi will arrive in the country tomorrow.

“Their early arrival is due to the fact that we have a wide itinerary for the weekend.
“Tomorrow, we will host acting workshop which will commence from 9am until 5pm.
“The auditions will be held on Saturday and all this will happen in a marquee that we have enacted,” explained Mthethwa.

Mthethwa highlighted that this was made possible by Apostle B. Msibi who contributed funds towards the project.
“The Eswatini scenery is beautiful and it has talent which would add zest to the final production,” said Mthethwa.
Uzalo actor Sifiso Memela confirmed that they were scouting for Eswatini talent.

Act

“We are looking for fine-tunes and raw candidates who can act. We are aware of the raw talent that we will find and we are willing to fine-tune it,” said Memela.
He said that the team from South Africa is excited about the project as Eswatini is still a country that observes traditions and is still rich in them.
“Eswatini inspires one to stick to the traditions and it is a nation that can tell a story through its culture and this is what we need for this film,” he said.
ENCAC CEO Stanley Dlamini confirmed their involvement, stating that they saw an opportunity in the South African actors’ presence over the weekend.
“We are happy that even local film producers will be educated and updated about their industry,” said Dlamini.
