BIG BEND- “Tira! Tira! Tira!” These were the resounding words at South African music producer, businessman and DJ Tira’s Birthday bash held at Big Bend, Mayaluka stadium last Saturday.

The show which was brought to Eswatini by DJ Tira, who is now famously referred to as ‘Malume’ because of his famous track titled ‘Malume’, which dropped early this year, attracted over 2 000 people to the stadium. The crowd started chanting ‘Tira’ even before he arrived at the venue just after 2am.

The now internationally renowned DJ attracted thousands by lining up South African renowned artists and entertainers to the venue, who are all under his Afrotainment music stable.
The first showstopper was Eswatini-born DJ and the famous owner of  TOS clothing brand pioneer, Thabo ‘Touch Of Soul’ Mnisi, who displayed his versatility in music rendition, especially in the ‘Gqom’ music genre. He opened his set with the popular ‘Club Controlla’ track which set the tone for the night. He performed for a marvellous 45 minutes and sent the crowd into a frenzy.

As an Eswatini artist based in Durban, DJ Touch of Soul was recently signed up to the Afrotainment stable.
After his set, the legendary party starter L’Vovo Derango, graced the stage and set the venue on fire with his frantic dance moves and energetic vibey music. He performed for a good one hour and danced for the crowd.  It was during this set that revellers started to shove the security guards as they tried to get closer to the stage.  However, peace was quickly restored as the security personnel stood firm.

During his performance, he was joined by Joocy, the ‘Emphilweni Yami’ hit maker. He opened his set with the song and also rendered  his new tracks  which displayed vocal talent which was impeccable, and received screams of jubilee from the crowd.
Joocy was also joined by Danger, a member of Big Nuz who is versatile in his lyrics and dance moves.

Surprising the revellers was RnB  crooner Donald. The South African muso who is famous for not only his ‘I am Over The Moon’ song but good looks too, had the women screaming their lungs out. The artist had the  ladies going  crazy in his brief rendition which lasted 20 minutes, especially after  he ended the set by stripping his shirt off and showing off his perfectly toned ‘six pack’ .

In the meantime, DJ Tira was frequently and briefly occupying the stage, sending the crowd into screams of excitement.
Not to be outdone were the Distruction Boyz of ‘Omunye phezomunye’ fame, as they delivered  great  resounding beats at the venue. They rendered an impressive one hour set and were then joined by the birthday boy as they dished out the best ‘Gqom’ sounds.

After the two, the whole stage was taken over by DJ Tira just after 1am, with his dancers who are famously known as ‘Amadada’.
The  over 2 000 revellers could not contain their excitement as Tira gave out one banger after the other ! These include his number one hits ‘Midnight Starring’  (feat. Moonchild Sanelly, DJ Tira & Busiswa, Por Favor, Pakisha and many more. The Afrotainment crew partied till the early hours of Sunday morning.
