LULO CAFE RENDERS DASHING SET
MATSAPHA – Dashing! The latter words describe South African DJ and music producer Lulo Café, real name Sikhululo Maliwa’s rendition last Friday at Déjà vu Cocktail Lounge at Esibayeni Lodge in Matsapha.
His set proved why he is categorised as one of the best DJs South Africa has ever seen.
The event, dubbed Lulo Café Black Ace Birthday Tour, was graced by close to 300 fun and house music lovers.
dishing
His set began at 1am and upon entering the DJ booth, the DJ immediately started dishing out the best deep house music from the very first song. Fun lovers were sent into a frenzy during his performance.
Twenty minutes into his performance, the ‘I wanna love you’ hit maker started dancing to his set as well.
His performance lasted for over an hour after which he personally engaged with his fans for the whole night. Other performances of the night included 1D, who dished out local and international hip hop sounds, DJ Spice, who played the best house music and gqom sounds, Mistosoul, Zulu D and others.
happy
Swazi Boy Entertainment’s Mthunzi ‘Shadow’ Zwane said he was happy about the turnout.
“This proves that people of Eswatini have a soft spot for deep house music,” he said.
Hlobi Dlamini, a reveller who confessed to loving deep house music, said she enjoyed every minute of the night.
“I am not a deep house music fan but I just loved his set.
I was taken,” said Dlamini. South African former beauty queen and personality Babalwa Mneno, who was supposed to be the host, did not make it to the show.
However, the show went on and revellers danced the whole night without showing any disappointment.
