DUSTY AND STONES WIN SACMAF AWARD

MBABANE – ‘For success, attitude is equally as important as ability.’

This popular quote by philosopher Walter Scott has proven to be true with local country music duo Dusty and Stones, who have attained international accolades and recognition through their strongly founded talent in their genre.

Last Friday, the Eswatini duo scooped the ‘International Award of the Year’ at the South African Country Music Artists Foundation (SACMAF) Awards in Pretoria, South Africa at the Arto Theatre.

It was the first time for the duo to be incorporated in these South Africa awards, and they made history as they are the first to win the newly-introduced ‘International Award’ category.

Scooped

Making history is not new for Dusty and Stones, as last year they scooped ‘Best International’ at the Texas Country Music Awards in the United States of America, and they were the first Africans to win in this category.
Duo member Linda ‘Stones’ Msibi, said they were excited to have gained recognition and eventually won an award at the SACMAF Awards.
“Also, it is humbling that international entities are recognising the Dusty and Stones brand and they also appreciate our music.
