MBABANE – “This is amazing; it is the first of its kind.” These words were shared by an excited Mzwakhe Myeni, the chief organiser of the festival that is set to change the face of Christmas Day in the country.

Myeni said this was a new concept they were introducing as Ezomoya Communications, whereby thousands of people are expected to come together in the evening of December 25 and celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ at Mavuso Trade and Exhibition Centre. It has been confirmed that South African Prophet Mboro of Incredible Happenings Ministries will be the guest speaker during the event that is themed ‘Eswatini Christmas Blestival’. Also expected to grace the event is Apostle Justice Dlamini, who will introduce the prophet during the event.

It wouldn’t be a celebration without music and the line-up for this event is mouth-watering as it consists big names such as South African, Hlengiwe Mhlaba and Donny Ngwenyama. While local stars such as Ndududzo Matse, Linda Dlamini, Phathwakahle, Mzwakhe Myeni, Phetsile Masilela, Shiba and the Travellers, and Make Maculuve are geared to lift the roof during the festival.  The show will see over 25 gospel artists belting it out on stage. Myeni confirmed the news and further said tickets were already out. The general tickets cost E50, while the VIP stands at E250. The tickets can be bought via the MTN Mobile Money platform.

“This will be the biggest show in the country. We are excited to have invited the biggest Prophet Mboro, who will heal people on the night and also pray for the New Year,” Myeni added.
When contacted, Prophet Mboro confirmed he would be coming for the event, while adding it was the first time in 30 years he would be travelling out of South Africa.

“It is the first time I have been invited. I do not normally get invited. Again, it will be the first time I will be coming to Eswatini. The last time I left South Africa was about 30 years ago when I travelled to Lesotho, so I am excited about the invite from Eswatini,” he said.

Expecting

Mboro said he was expecting to fill up the venue as he said he was aware of his huge following in the country.
“I usually attend to people at my church who usually tell me they are from Eswatini,” he said.
The prophet’s main church in Soweto attracts over 60 000 people every Sunday. He also has his own TV channel, where most of his sermons and prophecies are aired.

Other famous pastors who have graced the land include Ernest Angle and Prophet Bushiri .
The Eswatini National Council of Arts and Culture (ENCAC) CEO Stanley Dlamini said he was not aware of the event.
