MBABANE – It has now been confirmed, ACASWA has cancelled the Ezomoya crossover and has partnered with Gawuzela.

After weeks of private discussions, the Association of Christian Artists in Eswatini (ACASWA) is excited that gospel music giant and Member of Parliament of Siphofaneni, Mduduzi ‘Gawuzela’ Simelane, agreed to a partnership in hosting this year’s crossover show.

The association was in a dilemma as their first ever Ezomoya crossover show seized to exist when former president, Mzwakhe Myeni, left office about two months back, pending investigations that are being conducted by the Interim Committee currently running the association. The show was held at Worship Centre Auditorium, where over 3 000 people were in attendance.

It has been gathered that the MP was bothered by the situation at the association and talks for collaboration instantly ensued.
When contacted, Simelane confirmed the news, while adding he was happy to have rescued the association.

He said the main priority was to bring back the association’s respected image. On November 7, the Interim Committee held a meeting, where the partnership with the Umlilo Crossover Show was heavily discussed, however, the matter was not concluded as finer details of the deal had to be ironed out.
However, Simelane said more details about the partnership would be unpacked during a media launch, which is set for December 1.

Confirmed

ACASWA Secretary Thamie Ndlovu also confirmed the news. He said the association would be rallying behind Umlilo Music for the crossover.
“We do call upon our artists to avail themselves for this show. We are optimistic of an epic show. This is the beginning of bigger and better things to come. We also urge supporters of gospel music to buy tickets for the show in huge numbers, as the success of such an event relies heavily upon them,” he said.
He added by encouraging sponsors to support such national activities. He said the event was bringing so much growth to the industry.
