UKUTHOKOZA KWAMADODANA IN NEAR FATAL ACCIDENT

MBABANE – Ukuthokoza KwaMadodana members have cheated death. Eswatini-renowned Amadodana group members, known as Ukuthokoza KwaMadodana, were involved in a near fatal accident last Saturday night near Tri-Cash in Sidvokodvo.


They were involved the accident after a performance while they were travelling in a Toyota Noah seven-sitter. The accident happened just after 10pm.
Ukuthokoza KwaMadodana’s Mxolisi Vilakati confirmed the accident, stating that no only two members of the choir were injured.
“Only one member was badly injured and we thank God that there were no deaths,” said Vilakati.


The accident occurred just a week before their concert, which is slated for December 1.


Disturbed


“This is one of the incidents that has disturbed us but the situation is under control. We are confident that it will not derail the plans for the concert. The guys who were injured were treated and discharged. One of them will continue undergoing treatment and we hope he will be fit to minister by December 1,” said Vilakati.


Chief Police Information and Communications Officer Superintendent Phindile Vilakati confirmed the accident, stating that there were three accidents on the same road during the same night.


Dubbed ‘Celebrating 17 years and Commemorating the World AIDS Day’, the event will see the performances of Amadodana ase Postoli, Apostle Maculuve, Police Gospel Messengers, Come to Jesus, Phathwakahle and others.


The event will be held at Mfanyana Hall in Manzini, and entrance fee is E50 for general and E100 for VIP tickets.


Electric


Mxolisi promised an electric gospel atmosphere during the show.
“The content has been designed in a way that it suits everyone and an invitation goes to all emaSwati, all Methodist members and all Christians. Gospel music fans should brace themselves and women are advised to wear their sneakers as it will be a night of dance,” he said.
Mxolisi said all artists confirmed participation and said were ready for the night.
