LET’S DANCE KICKS OFF MARCH 2!
MBABANE – Dance is the timeless interpretation of life. Come next month, a lot of interpretation will be happening on the dance floor at House on Fire during the Let’s Dance Eswatini event. The first-of-it’s-kind occasion is being hosted by Bailamos Dance Studio and Wanner Dance Studio.
While launching the event, the organisers confirmed the much anticipated show would be held on March 2. Tickets to the show were released yesterday.
According to Suzan Esteves, the show can be enjoyed with dinner and priority seating for E400 or for E150. She said tickets can be purchased at House on Fire Gallery, Computronics at Riverstone Mall in Manzini, Luxy Garden Restaurant at Corner Plaza in Ezulwini, or eDish Café at Computronics in Mbabane
.
Local celebrities have been paired with top Ballroom and Latin dancers. Dancing together in the competition are Gciniwe Fakudze and Wakhile Mkhonta, Mdura and Celiwe Kunene, Penny Bouwer and Basil Magongo, John Piers and Neliswa Bhembe, Jordy Shiba and Phumelele Thwala and Siphesihle Nkwanyana and Sthembiso Mthembu.
“Couples will present two choreographed dance performances at the event, the first of which will be a Ballroom and Latin dance, and the second will be a genre of the celebrities’ choice. Catch couples dancing cha cha and tango, as well as kwaito and kizomba.

“Practice sessions have already started and you can keep up to date with activities by watching the videos of interviews and practice on the Let’s Dance Eswatini YouTube channel. Also like the Facebook page and follow the Instagram account for daily announcements and highlights,” Esteves added.
It was also mentioned that winners would be determined from a combination of judges’ scores and audience voting. The event coordinator said three judges would be present, one professional Dance Sport Adjudicator from South Africa, and two local celebrity judges. The audience voting system will be announced ahead of the event.
