INAUGURAL HOUSE MUSIC FESTIVAL
MBABANE – “It’s all about house music.” This is A popular phrase in the house music genre will engulf Esibayeni Lodge in Matsapha during the first House Music Festival. The show will feature veteran house music artists who have madE fun lover dance for over a decade.
The House Music Festival, a concept by Swazi Boy Entertainment, is slated for March 9.
It will see prominent DJs and music producers from South Africa including Andy X, DJ Terrance, Claude, Dvine Brothers and Miggs performing for house music lovers.
The viral ‘Changes in my life’ remix hit maker Andy X, real name Andile Xolo, confirmed, in his official social media pages, that he was set to come to the country.
“Passport gang, get your passports ready. Asambeni (Let us go),” read his confirmation on his Facebook page.
Swazi Boy Entertainment PRO Nozipho ‘Ur Gal Zee’ Masuku said the event was motivated by the fact that house music is a popular genre in Eswatini and neighbouring countries so it was worth celebrating.
“We saw it fit to celebrate it as it continues to grow with the different sounds to it. Swazi Boy Entertainment has been known for hosting the best shows with headliners from all genres but house music has always been our backbone and stamp of approval,” said Masuku.
Involvement
The types of house music which will be celebrated will range from deep to commercial and the now trending gqom music.
The festival will also seek to educate about the roots of house music hence so the involvement of both local and South African house music DJs.
“We are hoping to kick-start the festival as early as 2pm falling into the night until very late so people are encouraged to arrive early to appreciate everything about the day.
