SANDS STUNS AT ‘NDIMBONILE NIGHT’

EZULWINI - Who would have thought that Sands also a great storyteller? Eswatini golden boy and afro-soul artist Sands, real name Sandziso Matsebula, proved, beyond reasonable doubt, to the over 250 guests who attended the ‘Ndimbonile Night’ show at Happy Valley Hotel in Ezulwini, that he is more than just a singer.


The award-winning artist proved his versatility by being a great storyteller throughout his performance. He did this by interestingly telling the story behind each and every song that he rendered.
An interesting tale that he told was that of his now trending song titled ‘Libhabhalazi’, which is about an old man who was tricked by a young me into drinking alcohol.
This story left many in stitches. Another interesting story was that of his song ‘Lapha Kami’, which talks of persuading someone to visit when it is cold.


Impeccable


Not only did he show off his storytelling talent but he also showed off his dancing moves, which were impeccable, and got the ladies screaming.
The show dubbed ‘Ndimbonile Night’ saw the performances of Sands and South African renowned artist Loyiso Bala; the artists behind the song ‘Ndimbonile’.
The show started  at 7:30 pm where music lovers gathere


“I am happy to be in Eswatini and I am happy that this happened through me recognising talent in this country. I am honoured to have known Sands as he is massively talented,” said Loyiso.
Career
He also said  he believed that Sands’ music career was going to escalate as he is massively talented.


Also, Sands expressed his sincere gratitude in being embraced by Loyiso. “Being recognised by a big name says a lot for my career. I am humbled to have the privilege of having a working relationship with him,” said Sands.
The show was supported by DJ Mix Mash, who dished out the best Ol’ Skool sounds.


Other guests of note who showed support on the night were Minister of Sports, Culture and Youth Affairs Harries ‘Madze’ Bulunga, Swaziland Arts and Music Association (SWAMA) President Melusi ‘Zox’ Dlamini and other artists who are well known in the industry.
