MBABANE - Organisers of the Messianic Festival have been left with an egg on their faces as some artists distanced themselves from the show.

Gospel stars, Linda Dlamini and Phetsile Masilela have both released statements on their social media platforms, informing their followers that they were not part of the event scheduled to take place on March 2.

The event is organised by newly-formed entertainment stable, Messianic Empire in partnership with T-Star.
In a quest to update his followers, Linda took to his Facebook page and sang a different tune about his participation at the show. He posted a poster of the event with a message stating he was not part of it. In the same post, it was mentioned that the message was from the management of the ‘Lona Ngumnyaka Wetfu’ hitmaker.

The post was then shared by Phetsile, who was shocked that she was listed among the booked artists.
She made it clear that she was not aware of the event and never received a booking from its organisers.

Questions

The gospel stars’ fans were left with more questions than answers as they were stunned that the organisers had included them in the poster without an official booking. Others thanked the artists for informing them.
When contacted, Linda’s Manager, Lindelwa Dlamini, confirmed that the energetic musician would not be performing at the show.
Dlamini stated that Linda had been officially booked by the organisers, however, he had to pull out due to other commitments.
“He was booked, and they were still processing his payment when we informed them that we were pulling out of the show. We discussed this matter with the organisers as a lot of things came up. We apologised for pulling out,” Dlamini said.
